The wedding of Caroline Hendershot and Matthew Skesavage was nothing short of perfect. The couple’s wedding ceremony and reception took place at The Harpeth, a beloved downtown Franklin hotel right off of Main Street. The Harpeth Hotel offers the perfect setting for a southern wedding. With its stunning courtyard and Grand Ballroom, a wedding here feels straight out of a storybook.
Matthew proposed to Caroline in 2020 in the backyard of her childhood home, after a day spent doing her favorite things. Fast forward to the wedding day, the groom and bride were able to share their special day with their best friend and eight-year-old rescue pup, Brody. While Caroline got ready, Brody was the best side-kick and was the best part of the couple’s first look pictures.
Caroline wore a stunning strapless dress with a deep, front V cut and a cathedral length veil. Her bouquet consisted of white roses and gardenias. Matthew wore a navy velvet tuxedo jacket with black tuxedo pants. The reception décor included draped walls with hanging lights and a wrapped dance floor with the couple’s initials. For dinner, shrimp and grits with braised short ribs were served by Chef Matt from the hotel. The wedding cake had two flavors, half strawberry and half almond, and a trail of stunning red roses from top to bottom. Caroline and Matthew’s storybook wedding was just as perfect as they had envisioned!
