It’s as good as it gets marrying my fair lady…
Nathan Alley and Jenna Wetherholt got married on the 13th of April. They share so many similarities: Their love for Tennessee football, Nathan’s passion for movies and Jenna’s obsession with musical theater. They spent a year focusing on their vision, which was creating their two worlds molding together. So why not put his favorite movie, As Good As It Gets and her favorite musical My Fair Lady together?
When planning the wedding, it was truly full circle. Jenna used to be a bridal gown model. Jenna was never going to be the traditional bride and had worn tons of white gowns. When it came time to pick a dress, Jenna knew she wanted something different. She chose a pink ombré gown with floral petals for their wedding in the woods at Drakewood Farm.
Their table seating was custom designed signs that featured their favorite movies and musicals, from Gone with the Wind, to The Godfather to Major League. The cocktails and drinks were paired with napkins that had quotes from their favorite movies on them. They also had custom cotton candy made by Trish with Pandy Cotton Candy, and guests were able to pick a puff and pop it into their champagne!
The groom’s cake and table were a Tennessee Vols theme, with pictures from Vols games, signed memorabilia from Peyton Manning and a note written to Jenna’s grandfather from a family friend, Phil Fulmer. Nathan and Jenna’s heritage were really shown in the details of the table.
During the reception, Jenna changed into a custom-made jumpsuit designed by Karen Hendrix Couture, using her mother’s wedding gown. She paired that with her mother-in-law’s wedding veil. To end their evening, Nathan and Jenna ventured off in a white, 1950s vintage car.
Not only did Jenna find her Professor Higgins…but she made him a better man.
